BMW has created only 50 units of the BMW 3.0 CSL as a special edition for the 50th Anniversary of the M brand. These cars are exceptionally uncommon and are rarely seen on the roads. One of these limited edition vehicles, number 41 out of 50, is now available for auction in Spain.
Auction of the BMW 3.0 CSL in Spain
The auction is being managed by BMW Iberica using a private auction system. To assist in this unique auction, BMW has partnered with Soulauto Inversiones SL, a specialist company. They will support BMW Iberica in organizing the sale of this exceptional vehicle in Spain and Portugal.
The decision to opt for a private auction is to give all interested buyers an opportunity to acquire this outstanding car. BMW has pledged to donate any amount collected beyond the suggested retail price to charitable causes.
BMW 3.0 CSL : Key Features
Apart from its iconic look, the BMW 3.0 CSL boasts impressive features. It is powered by the most powerful inline-six engine ever used in a road-legal M car. This engine incorporates the innovative M TwinPower Turbo technology, exclusively developed by BMW for the 3.0 CSL. The engine delivers an impressive 560 HP of maximum power.
Auction Details and Starting Price
Prospective buyers can participate in the auction by visiting the BMW Spain website. BMW will provide the participants with the necessary information and requirements to join the auction. All bidders are required to be verified M customers before entering the auction.
The auction will run until February 28, 2023, which is also the final day for submitting bids. BMW has set the starting price for the 3.0 CSL at US$ 650,263 before taxes. Following taxation, this amount increases to US$ 860,000.
