When a motorcycle comes equipped with features like self-balancing, face recognition, and gesture comprehension, it’s definitely worth taking a closer look. Yamaha has set out to revolutionize the traditional motorcycle experience by introducing a mobility unit that challenges conventions.
Right from the start, Yamaha’s goal with this bike was clear – to offer a truly exceptional riding experience. The company states, “Our goal was to develop a next-generation motorcycle in Yamaha’s distinctive style, providing a sporty and thrilling ride for the rider, regardless of their skill level or athleticism, once they settle into the racer-inspired riding position and grip the handlebars.”
This motorcycle can be signaled from a distance, recognizes faces, and the kicker – it runs entirely on electricity. However, while it can follow pre-set routes, it does not have full autonomous capabilities to navigate independently.
Yamaha’s spokesperson, John Boreland, mentioned that the design of the wings at the back was done in collaboration with a psychologist to offer a comforting touch to the rider’s lower back, especially during high-speed maneuvers.
This innovative mobility unit represents a glimpse into the future of riding experience and has the potential to redefine the connection between riders and motorcycles.
