An incredibly rare 2018 Aston Martin Lagonda Taraf is now available for purchase on Bring A Trailer. This specific model only has 191 miles on the odometer and showcases a Satin Jet Black First exterior finish complemented by a Kestrel Tan interior.
The Lagonda Taraf was first revealed in 2015 to a small group of VIP customers at the Geneva International Motor Show. The name “Taraf,” meaning “ultimate luxury” in Arabic, was shared with select Middle Eastern clients the previous November. This elite customer base had always revered the futuristic 1980s four-door designed by William Towns, and they eagerly embraced this new version.
Designed under the leadership of Marek Reichman at Aston Martin’s Gaydon headquarters, the Taraf was crafted using the company’s versatile VH architecture as a basis to create an elegant high-performance luxury four-door saloon capable of speeds exceeding 190mph, powered by a robust 540bhp, 5.9-liter Aston Martin V12 engine. Featuring carbonfiber-reinforced body panels for durability and lightness, the Taraf’s sleek design made other luxury saloons from Rolls-Royce, Bentley, and Mercedes-Maybach appear almost conventional in comparison. On the road, the Taraf delivered impressive overall performance.
Initially planned exclusively for the Middle Eastern market, the Taraf became a global offering due to the enthusiastic reception from VIP clients in Geneva. At launch, it was priced at $1 million in North America and €1 million in Europe, excluding local taxes and duties. Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd assured potential buyers that production would be limited, with a maximum of 200 units. However, reports suggest that fewer than half that amount were actually manufactured and sold.
Opportunities to acquire a Taraf are few, particularly in the United States. Currently, the highest bid stands at $501,007, which is already a significant discount considering its original price of $877,235, not including further costs for importation and certification exceeding $120,000.
