Among all Audi models, the R8 holds a special position closely associated with motorsports. The R8 V10 engine found in this car closely resembles the engine found in the R8 LMS racecar, differing mainly in specific regulatory tweaks made for the racing version. In comparison to the R8 V10 performance Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) model featuring 562 horsepower, the Audi Sport GmbH engineers have boosted the R8 GT model’s power to 602 horsepower, now on par with the R8 performance quattro model’s output.
