Passione Engadina in St. Moritz is regarded as one of the world’s most exclusive motoring events, so it came as no surprise that their 2022 edition celebrated the achievements of Bugatti with a unique ‘Pavillon Bugatti’ that showcased no less than 13 extremely rare and very special icons right in the heart of St. Moritz, while an impressive selection of Bugatti cars was driven on the Julius Baer rally that took these priceless automotive gems along mountain roads and through the alpine passes of Bernina, Umbrail and Fuorn for a once in a lifetime experience.
Passione Engadina started back in 1992, the 2022 edition is, in fact, the eleventh year of this amazing gathering of rare classic cars built up until 1992, for this year’s event the story of Ettore’s journey, and the evolution of the Bugatti brand, was told through a special exhibition located just outside the famous Kulm Hotel in St. Moritz, the ‘Pavillon Bugatti’ displayed 13 cars, from the Type 1 Prinetti Stucchi – a motorized tricycle recognized as the first Ettore Bugatti-engineered project – to the track-only Bolide hyper sports car, scheduled for delivery to customers in 2024, and the vision from Ettore Bugatti is still continued today, as he once said: “If comparable, it is no longer Bugatti.”
Generously donated by Bugatti customers, and on display until the 28th August, the Pavillon Bugatti was open to the public, attracting nearly 20,000 visitors. The full line-up of cars was.
