Pagani Utopia Revealed As Horacio’s Vision Of The Perfect Hypercar

Pagani Automobili has revealed their new hypercar. Until now, we knew it as the ‘C10’ or the ‘Huayra successor’. It has now been formally christened as the ‘Pagani Utopia’.

As the name suggests, this is the ideal hypercar envisioned by Horacio Pagani – the company founder and modern day Leonardo Da Vinci.

The design of the Pagani Utopia is an evolutionary step in the illustrious tale of this Italian marquee. The familiar front section features wide wheel arches and twin headlamps. It has a streamlined roofline, a bold shoulder line that blends into the wide rear haunches. The rear fascia is quite distinct with its twin tail lamp setup and the iconic Pagani oval graphic with the quad exhausts in the centre.

Inside, the Utopia retains the retro look with ornamental dial switchgear and analogue dials. These guys don’t do touchscreens. Instead, you get a finely crafted interior draped in the finest leather, aluminium and carbon fibre. Sadly, the gullwing doors are gone.

At the heart of the Pagani Utopia is a 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 engine developed by Mercedes-AMG. It produces 864 hp @ 6000 rpm and 811 lb-ft of torque @ 2800-5900 rpm. The engine can be mated to a 7-speed automated manual transmission. Besides this, Pagani is also offering a proper manual this time around.

Production of the Pagani Utopia will be limited to 99 coupes and 99 roadsters. The base price without taxes is €2.17 million.
