The Nissan Altima is one of the sedans whose progress we will be closely watching in 2019. Why? It has been tweaked up considerably, ostensibly in a bid to have good tidings flow in its favor.
The standard engine is a 2.5-liter inline-4 producing 188 horsepower. A 248-hp turbo-4 replaces last year’s V-6. The turbo-4 is lifted from the Infiniti QX50 crossover SUV.
This does a great job in terms of varying its operation and maximizing efficiency and fun. The 2019 Altima is primly comfortable and quiet.
It makes things sharp for itself by carrying its ProPilot Assist semi-autonomous driving aid. It’s larger and more spacious than the old model predecessor. Quite frankly it is among the most affordable midsize sedan offered in AWD.
The Altima is also very high on tech carrying some of the most advanced features in its class. For instance, every Altima will come standard with an 8.0-inch, Apple CarPlay- and Android Auto-compatible touchscreen infotainment system, as well as a 7.0-inch driver’s display in the gauge cluster. A Bose premium stereo is optional and you can be certain it would take things to the next level altogether.
When we blow a trumpet for brands, its because they have gone beyond being alright and taken things a notch higher. The Altima has certainly whet our appetite for sedans and we wish it stays this small for some time.
