The new Mercedes-AMG C63 is a powerhouse in terms of numbers. Just consider its impressive power outputs: 680 metric horsepower (or 670bhp) and a staggering 752lb-ft of torque.
This vehicle places a Mercedes C-Class ahead of a Ferrari Enzo in terms of power. Surprisingly, it also boasts a claimed fuel efficiency of 34 miles per gallon and emits only 156g/km of CO2, which is comparable to a Golf GTI. This is achieved by replacing the traditional V8 engine with a smaller 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and integrating an F1-inspired hybrid boost system under its unique bonnet. The 2.0-liter turbo-four engine, shared 80 percent with the A45 S hot hatch, is now equipped with an electric motor to reduce turbo lag and enhance output. This setup enables the relatively small engine to produce 460bhp, almost matching the power output of the previous 6.2-liter V8 engine.
The car’s acceleration is impressive, with AMG claiming a 0-62mph time of 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 174mph. Despite its speed, the current BMW M3 is equally fast with ‘only’ 503bhp.
