# Koenigsegg Agera RS Seized By China Customs Fails to Sell at Auction
—
Earlier this year, news broke about a Koenigsegg Agera RS that was confiscated by Chinese customs. The hypercar was recently up for auction and reportedly received a bid of approximately $2.6 million. However, latest reports indicate that it did not find a buyer.
According to information from @koeniseggjesko.registry, the car is no longer under customs’ possession. Instead, a dealership has taken charge of selling the vehicle and it has been moved to Xi’an for display.
This specific Agera RS, bearing the chassis number 7178, features a striking exposed carbon fiber body with red accents. The interior boasts black leather seats with red stitching. Noteworthy details include the word “ZHEN” embroidered on the headrests and a unique graphic on the car’s side.
In addition to the Agera RS, Chinese customs also seized a Koenigsegg Regera for alleged tax evasion. The Regera was successfully auctioned off for $3.52 million.
