A Tennessee man did just about everything he could to transform an ordinary truck to one of the world’s most outstanding trucks. When he looked back, he had spent 20 years to customize the truck and make it something above incredible.
Steve Francis, 48, customized nearly every aspect of his truck, lowering the body by three and a half inches, adding six 20-inch rims, packing in a V8 engine, and adding suicide doors.
“I always like to be different and I don’t like to leave anything stock. It’s taken me about 20 years to customize the truck to the state it’s in now, so the man-hours on this vehicle are totally epic.”
True to his words Steve can sit pretty and take a lot of pride from his achievement. The machine stands out conspicuously.
You see, it is one thing to enhance a car of this kind to uplift its performance and it is another thing altogether to do it for fun. Steve did it precisely for the latter.
A car that carries a 350 ci Chevy engine and has never driven beyond 50 mph may be lagging lazily but this one is excused because it isn’t meant to work so hard for anything. It might be deliberately slow in movement but not in the kind of attention it attracts.
“Driving this thing is awesome because you get all the looks and the stares, the waves, the thumbs-ups. It definitely gets a lot of attention,” added Steve.
