Gordon Murray Automotive May Reveal The New Version Of GMA T.33 Next Month

Last year, Gordon Murray Automotive announced that it was expanding its line-up with a new supercar offering called the GMA T.33. We got our first look at the car back in January 2022, and since then, we haven’t heard much about it.

One of the reasons why there’s been little talk about the T.33 is that the company has been busy putting the final touches on the GMA T.50 hypercar. The latter is now ready and went into production earlier this week.

Now that the development phase of the T.50 is over, GMA could be shifting its focus to the T.33 supercar. In fact, our sources have revealed that Gordon Murray is likely to reveal a “new version” of the GMA T.33 next month.

Unlike the T.50, the T.33 is designed to be a comfortable grand tourer. It looks less extreme without the massive rear-mounted fan and has a more conventional driving position. That being said, what could be the so-called “new version”? Being a GT, it’s unlikely that GMA would introduce a hardcore, track-focused version. The other possibility is an open-top version of the T.33.

Whatever the new version is, it is likely to use the same Cosworth-built 3.9-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine that produces 607 hp @ 10,500 rpm, with 90% of the maximum torque (399 lb-ft) available from 4,500-10,500 rpm. The engine will be paired with a 6-speed gearbox.
