Celebrate the 50th birthday of BMW M GmbH with the introduction of the exciting BMW M4 CSL. This car combines a classic racing spirit with cutting-edge technology to deliver an unparalleled performance. Featuring a remarkable power increase of 40hp compared to the current BMW M4 Competition Coupé, the BMW M4 CSL boasts 550hp and incorporates a range of carefully crafted weight-saving techniques.
The car offers a unique feature called the M Mode button, allowing drivers to adjust the responses of different systems. In addition to the standard ROAD and SPORT modes, a new TRACK mode has been introduced. When in SPORT mode, the instrument cluster and Head-Up Display switch to M View, which provides essential information for dynamic driving such as an M-specific rev dial, Shift Lights, digital speed read-out, and gear indication. Supplementary data such as coolant temperature, charge pressure, tire status, and lateral/longitudinal acceleration can be viewed in the side panels of the instrument cluster.
To activate TRACK mode, press and hold the M Mode button for an extended period and confirm the selection using the iDrive Controller. This mode deactivates all comfort and safety features of the driver assistance systems, turns off the controlled display to enhance driver focus, and switches the instrument cluster and Head-Up Display to M View, concealing road sign detection as well.
