The Ford Mustang RTR Is The Actual Drifting Master

There are motoring stunts not meant for everyone and they can be demanding even for the most experienced driver. If you’ve heard of the Nürburgring, also known as the Green Hell, you will know exactly what am saying. But it is the challenges set by such places that end up going into recorded history. Are you still with me? Now here is something that has made the Ford Mustang RTR 2019 to make history at Nürburgring Nordschleife.

Professional drifter Vaughn Gittin Jr.became the first and only person to have drifted the renowned unforgiving Nürburgring Nordschleife circuit, completing a 12.9-mile (20.7 km) with almost fun. It was a feat for which he could later say about having a “good time” and not setting a lap time. His machine of choice? The Ford Mustang RTR drift car.

RTR Vehicles and Ford will produce only 500 Mustang RTR Series I models with deliveries being made through Ford dealers beginning early 2019.

Among features that make this machine exclusive is set of 19-inch wheels (9.5-inch-wide fronts with 10-inch rears), an RTR enhanced rear spoiler, RTR floor mats, customized shift knob, and puddle lamps. The style still comes out in RTR’s signature styling.

RTR vehicles say that besides designing each part of the vehicle for aesthetic, every part plays an important in advancing the vehicle’s performance.

This is a vehicle that wears the pride of knowing its road potential and more so the understanding that it has few competitors on its league. This is the car in which chief drifter Gittin shredded three sets of tires and rode on speeds averaging 240 km/h on hitting gear number six around bends.

The performance of the car so much amazed and amused Gittin that it felt like a totally new experience. He said, “When we stopped for the first tire change I was elated. I had to catch my breath, which is something I have never experienced behind the wheel since I was a rookie in Formula Drift.”

That said, the Ford Mustang RTR 2019 will continue with its jaw-dropping super performances whether in Germany’s Green Hell or wherever else it goes.
