Rimac C-Two Electric Hypercar Goes From 0-60 mph In Only 1.8 Seconds

To ardent car enthusiasts, the Rimac C-Two electric hypercar is closely relatable. It has been so widely hyped that car lovers wait for it with bated breath. And now the company is sharing more information to shed light on its coming.

The company says that the first series of prototypes have been tested for elements that include dynamics, powertrain, and safety. The Croatian company confirms that the car is now in the final development phase, with pre-production starting early 2020.

Rimac reveals that a total of 17 prototypes, each for different testing purposes, from chassis rigidity to high-quality, autonomous driving among other aspects will be produced. Why are these announcements crucial?

The vehicle has already been hinted to do 1,888 horsepower (1,408 kilowatts) and 1,696 pound-feet (2,300 Newton-meters) of torque. This is an output that will support its quest to do 60 miles per hour (96 kilometers per hour) in just 1.85 seconds. The top speed is slated at 256 mph (412 kph).

With moderate driving, the powertrain can support the vehicle for a whopping 404 miles (650 kilometers). With these numbers, we are no doubt looking at the possibility of one truly crazy creation from Croatia.

The other crazy and almost unbelievable piece of information is that Rimac plans to produce only 150 C-Two models, selling at $2 million apiece. Apparently, they’ve all been booked. Of courses, folks at the Croatian automaker must be super excited. The company was founded just about a decade ago and is proven on track to books of history.
