More details about the 2023 Porsche 911 GT3 RS have leaked online. The latest information comes just a day ahead of the official unveiling. Going by the stuff we’re about to share, the new GT3 RS looks quite promising.

Let’s start with engine – the new GT3 RS will be the most powerful naturally-aspirated 911 ever. The 4.0-liter flat-6 engine is likely to pump out 518 hp, which is 15 hp more than what you get in the GT3.

What differentiates the RS from the standard GT3 is its exterior. It gets an extreme aero kit that is said to generate 900 lbs of downforce at 124 mph and 1896 lbs at 177 mph. While all that downforce improves the car’s cornering performance, it creates drag on the straights. That’s why, Porsche has added a DRS (Drag Reduction System) on the GT3 RS. With the press of a button, the driver can stall the rear wing by changing its angle of attack. With DRS engaged, the car can hit a top speed of 184 mph.

The GT3 RS also comes with active aero elements at the front. It gets F1-style bargeboards on the front fenders that guide air along the sides, while louvres help extract air from the wheel arches.

Porsche has also made some changes to the suspension. The GT3 RS has a slightly wider front track than the GT3. The driver can also adjust compression and rebound using the controls on the steering wheel.

The brake setup is fairly standard though. It uses the same iron rotors from the GT3, but owners will be able to spec carbon ceramics as well. Porsche will offer magnesium wheels with the Weissach package.

Now, for the big one – price. Rumors suggest that the new Porsche 911 GT3 RS will have a base price of $225,000.
