The Mercedes-AMG One was showcased at the Goodwood Festival of Speed earlier today. What a treat it must’ve been to watch the hypercar drive up the narrow hill climb course. In this video, you can see the AMG One accelerate off the line and make its way to the first turn in no time. It stops briefly in the front of the crowd to show off its race mode. You will see the car hunker down, extend its rear wing and the fender louvres pop open.
The AMG One is almost like a road-legal Formula 1 car. Well at least it has the engine from Lewis Hamilton’s race car. It’s a 1.6-liter turbocharged V6 that revs to 11,000 rpm. The IC engine is paired with two electric motors for a combined output of 1063 hp. Mercedes claims the AMG One will do 0-62 mph in 2.9 seconds and 0-124 mph in 7 seconds. Top speed is rated 219 mph.
