In February, We had revealed that Bentley was planning to introduce a limited edition model later this year. The carmaker has just confirmed it by releasing the first teaser of the upcoming Bentley Mulliner Batur. The car will be officially unveiled on August 21, 2022.
The Batur is the second model produced by Bentley in collaboration with the famous coachbuilder. Sources tell us that, unlike the open-top Bacalar, the new model will be a coupe. It will preview Bentley’s next generation of electric vehicles.
Crucially, the Batur will be the last Bentley powered by the W12 engine. In its current form, the 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged hunk packs 650 hp and 667 lb-ft of torque. It is paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic. While detailed specifications of the W12 in the Batur are still unclear, it is likely to be offered in the same tune.
According to our sources, the production of the Bentley Mulliner Batur is expected to be limited to 25 units. It is said that the car could cost around £2.5 million.
