Jaguar, like many other respectable automakers has refused to go to slumber or slack. Instead, it has continued to engage innovation to produce iconic products that are loved by all and sundry, sometimes taking a direction that is different from others.
For instance,even as everyone else is doing SUVs en masse, Jaguar still has a heart for and mind for vehicles in other classes. The Jaguar XF Sportbrake is evidence of Jaguar’s purposeful diversification.
Available as a sedan or as a head-turning wagon, the XF soldiers on into its fourth model year with the same mix of powertrains and space. New tech features such as a 10-inch touchscreen and Apple CarPlay compatibility are perks for buyers clinging to tradition.
The XF sedan brings around a turbo-4 with two outputs under-hood: 247 or 296 horsepower. A 2.0-liter turbodiesel is the efficiency star producing 180 hp.
You can also opt for a 3.0-liter supercharged V-6 with 380 hp. On upper trims the wagon offers the higher-spec 2.0-liter turbo-4 or V-6 with all-wheel drive only.
As standard, the XF comes with 18-inch wheels, Bluetooth connectivity, synthetic leather upholstery, a USB port, keyless ignition, a sunroof, and power-adjustable front seats. With a starting price of around 450 000, the Jaguar XF is one car that offers any buyer a variety of choices.
It has so far displayed a great market potential and hope the trend continues with the 2019 model onwards.
