I for one really like the classic Porsche 930 Turbo, with those black bumper insets, it’s the car that competed with the Lamborghini Countach and the Ferrari Testarossa at one time, and it’s just an all-time classic if you ask me, but it’s safe to say the 300 hp from the flat-six pales completely next to the 650 hp in the latest Porsche 992, but what if you would put together a comparison drag race between the original Porsche 930 Turbo, the Porsche 964 Turbo, the Porsche 993 Turbo, the Porsche 996 Turbo S, the Porsche 997 Turbo S, the Porsche 991 Turbo S, and finally the stunning Porsche 992 Turbo S, do note that the three older models come with a manual gearbox, the 930 Turbo has a four-speed manual mind you.
Fear not, Mat Watson from the massive YouTubo channel CarWOW has put together the above list, positioned them side by side, and made a few runs on the wide straight … the result is as could be expected, but it’s still a lot of fun to see these cars compete against each other, and at the end, they even perform a braking test, now that result was interesting, check out the video below:
