80 Ferrari Monza Supercars Got Damaged Due To An Unexpected Rain

Recently, around 80 Ferrari Monza supercars from all over the world attended the inaugural ‘Ferrari Cavalcade Icona’ in Italy. Owners took part in various activities, including a drive through the beautiful Italian countryside that culminated at the Fiorano test track.

The sun was out, and the weather was perfect for driving topless Ferraris like the Monza SP1 and Monza SP2. However, an unexpected rain shower caused panic after the cars had arrived at Fiorano. Now, video footage of the cars parked under the pouring rain has surfaced online. It clearly shows that the organizers weren’t prepared.

As you’re aware, the Monza SP1 and SP2 are open-top speedsters similar to the McLaren Elva and the Aston Martin V12 Speedster. It means, if it rains, you really don’t have a choice but to get wet.

In case of these Ferraris, the drivers were spared, but the cars will definitely need thorough interior cleaning. I’m sure that wasn’t included in the $30,000 entry fee.

The Ferrari Monza SP2 is based on the 812 Superfast. It uses the same 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine that makes 800 hp and 530 lb-ft of torque. 0-62 mph comes up in 2.9 seconds.
